These Dolphins were first made for the racing Trimaran S/V Dolphin Spirit , rebuilt here in Friday Harbor with a plan to sail San Francisco to Tokyo. The sail was planned to bring awareness to the beach drives of Bottlenose, Striped, Pacific White-Sided and Risso’s Dolphins and Pilot Whales in Taiji, Japan.
