Our afternoon sail left from Deer Harbor and caught light to moderate breeze to head North. Seas flattened out in Boundary Pass and my passengers had brought food for the BBQ. Quite exceptional to drift sail from Java Rocks to Blunden Island with J pod Southern Resident Orca whales slowly doing the same. Silence punctuated with slow peck slaps, inverted tail slaps and the splash of a distant breach. Beautiful mystical evening. We were joined by Pacific Swift – Sail and Life Training Society tall ship
