As well as enjoying sailing we get to enjoy the maintenance of a classic wood boat. As part of a long term maintenance plan August was devoted to removing and rebuilding everything from the engine to the propellor. While the engine was out we also changed the keel bolts that fasten the 10,000 block of iron to the bottom of the boat. With great thanks to Andy Stewart and Emerald Marine Carpentry, Barbara Bender, Claus and Rob Rhodes – phenomenal effort where we were rewarded with accomplishments that include faster speed. Ready to go for September.
