A day with the J’s and minkes. Again we met them at Long Island. Over Salmon Bank and on to False Bay. They were spread from Pile Point to Salmon Bank and all stopped for leisurely fishing. Eventually they all turned together to head towards Hein Bank. A little north of Hein, J40 Suttles was indulging in strange behavior lifting a dead harbor porpoise with her rostrum for some hours. By coincidence there was also at least two minke whales in her immediate area. Every day is different.
