July 28, 2016 – Searching for whales and finding 4 generations of Transients T34s with T37 and T37B’s. Residents are gone, and no humpbacks reported in our area. We set a course to visit all the harbor seal haul outs thinking transient orcas may be doing the same. A harbor seal watching cruise! Pups are calling, eagles are watching them hauled out in the sun on flat rocks in protected coves. Skipjack Island is an emerald jewel in a turquoise sea. Pt Doughty we found the transient orcas traveling and hunting from Presidents Channel, Pt Disney, White Rock, and Flattop. Note the open saddle on T37B1.
