July 30, 2016 – We sailed north into Boundary Pass, then west around Stuart Island, and then south to Mandarte Island. Mandarte Island is one of our favorite places and we’re noticing in our photos Brandt’s Cormorants in breeding plumage. Young chicks of Glaucous winged gulls we noticed also. Beam reach back to Spieden where the wind dropped and the ocean became a mirror for the forested shoreline. Every trip is different.
