July 30, 2017 – Sailed out via Cattle Pass and stopped to look at the many cormorants and gulls including dozens of gull chicks on Goose Island. One small lone sea lion was hauled out on Whale Rocks. The eagle chicks on Long Island have left their nest. We think we saw one of them nearby. The sea state changed after we came sailing around Hall Island into some bigger waves which settled after clearing Cattle Pass to explore the Lopez coast with a beautiful sunset.
