August 16th 2017. Sailed into Harney Pass and the full length of Eastsound, Orcas Island, with the T137s. This is the second time this year we’ve sailed the full length of Eastsound with a family of Transient Orcas – yet we’ve never heard of them at the North end before, even from talking to the old-timers. The first time was with T37As and T51 on July 4th. Watched them hunting successfully 4 times with breaches, backward swimming and spyhops. Reefed main with good sailing and spectacular views.
