September 18, 2017 – Cloudy skies, occasional drizzle, excellent lighting for photography! Crossing over in Presidents Channel to get an up close look at Pt Disney on Waldron Island. Lots of harbor seals White Rock and on Flattop Island. Transient orcas popped up at the southern entrance to San Juan Channel and they didn’t appear to be moving. Change course southbound to see siblings T65A3 and T65A4 who were with T99B. Two 10 yr old whales and a 6 yr old off galavanting by themselves – which seemed unusual for such young whales take off from their mom and other family members. But they were back together the next day. BBQ supper prepared in the rain.
T65A3, T65A4 and T99B, young Transients off by themselves
