June 26, 2018 – North on the flood and drifted passed Yellow Island where harbor seals we can see in the photos were ready to pop with pregnancy. Light wind sailing wing on wing up to Flattop Island where the eagles were now on day 4 of the feast of a steller sea lion carcass. We could hear many eagle calls. Many seals were hauled out on White Rock as we sailed by on the placid waters to Skipjack Island. Skipjack was a harbor seal paradise including a mom and new pup. Pigeon Guillemots drifted in an idyllic setting. Harbor porpoises showed themselves as we continued to Bare Island rounding Waldron into Presidents Channel. Stunning forest reflections followed by a sunset with rainbows in the ice crystals of iridescent clouds high in the atmosphere.
