July 2, 2018 – We sailed south out of the harbor around Turn Island where harbor seals warmed up in the sun. Caught the flood sailing downwind up Upright Channel. Took a left in Harney Channel passing 3 bald eagles on Shaw Island. Sailed between islands to come out through Pole Pass. The evening light lit up the rocky layers of Flattop Island where we began our supper. Gulls and black oyster catchers were making a commotion on Gull Rock due to the presence of two bald eagles. A breeze picked up filling our sails and we passed many harbor porpoises off Green Pt. We arrived back to the dock just after the sun cleared to the west.
