Afternoon half day sail

July 22, 2019 – We sailed North passing the harbor seals hauled out on Yellow and Low Islands cutting through the narrow pass of Coon and McConnell Islands. North through Spring Pass passing Jones Island State Park and on to our favorite Flattop Island National Wildlife Refuge. Gull Rock had Cormorants nesting and we sailed down through the Cactus Islands and drifted along the peaceful North side of Spieden Island. Wind and current in Spieden Channel made for choppy conditions and we had a fast sail into wind down San Juan Channel.
