A sunset nature cruise

August 1, 2019 – An evening half day sail. We set a course to explore one of our favorite places: New Channel. Interesting sights all around us. Beauty and tranquility with mirror-like waters reflecting the cloudy skies. Our wake made pretty little ripples behind us forming colorful ovoid shapes.

We saw harbor seals with new pups nursing, bald eagles, jellyfish and much  more. Cutting through the islands via John’s Pass we circled John’s Island before cutting back through the Cactus Islands for just one more look at New Channel.

Sailed back across to Jones Island and through the little islands around Yellow Island  before arriving back to the dock at sundown.
