Sunset sail with two minke whales

July 16, 2021 – Sailed south to Cattle Pass by way of the Lopez coastline from Big Rock down passing Shark Reef and by Deadman Island. Bald eagles were out and about and a great blue heron stood on Sharks Reef while harbor seals snoozed. A visit to Whale Rocks to see the Steller sea lions and harbor seals before heading out to search for minke whales. We got lucky with great looks at two different minkes hanging out on the western edge of the bank. The sun was shining through the clouds  leaving streaks of light shining down. A beautiful evening with incredible skies and a pretty sunset.
