July 31, 2021 – A sail north hugging the north side of Orcas Island and up close to the Canadian border to see some Biggs/Transient orcas known as the T65A’s. On our return route we stopped by Skipjack Island, hugged the north coast of Waldron Island, and came down to White Rock. Upon news of a humpback whale in Boundary Pass we turned around and sailed with BCX1251 “Orion” in the direction of Johns Island. We broke off to cut through Ripple Pass, the Cactus Islands and hugged the northern Spieden Island shoreline exploring the beauty of New Channel. From Green Pt we came south back down San Juan Channel returning to Friday Harbor after a spectacular day.
