Orcas T37A’s by Obstruction Island

August 17, 2021 – After leaving the harbor we headed through the islands to catch up with a family of Biggs/Transient orcas called the T37A’s (minus T37A1). We met them as they were hugging the shoreline near Humphrey Head. Together we travelled towards Obstruction Island and they decided to exit through Peavine Pass. As they wrapped around Obstruction Island they came back in through Obstruction Pass, but quickly turned around and headed back out again. We ended our orca encounter and made tracks back to Friday Harbor via Upright Head to see the eagle nest and the stunning coastline.
