April 19, 2022 – With news of a humpback whale heading south from Pt Caution just north of Friday Harbor we decided to cast off for a sail. We were very excited, because it was our first humpback encounter of the year. The whale was identified as five year old “Valiant”. The whale made its way all the way dow to Cattle Pass, and then made a decision to turn around. It traveled close to shore in Griffin Bay as it headed back north continuing passed Friday Harbor once again.
