May 6, 2022 – Another epic adventure on the books. This one included a sail with Biggs/Transient orcas known as the T34’s, T37’s, T75B’s and T49A1 followed by a humpback whale encounter with BCY0324 “Big Mama” and her 7th known calf plus a friend with them. Other trip highlights included seeing a bald eagle up close on the Shirt Tail Reef Channel marker, several adult plus juvenile bald eagles on Flattop Island and another on Java Rocks, dozens of harbor seals on Flattop, White Rock, Skipjack and Java Rocks, a large gathering of Bonaparte’s gulls near East Point, and Steller sea lions on Green Pt.
