June 24, 2022 – A sail around Lopez to see some Biggs/Transient orcas which we identified as the T65A’s with T77 and T77E. We also got to see a small humpback whale playing close to shore and in the kelp at the bottom of Cypress Island. Other trip highlights include bald eagles, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, black oystercatchers, harbor porpoise, cormorants, a harbor seal wrapped up by an octopus, raccoons foraging at low tide and stunning views of Mt Baker, Olympic Mountains, and Mt Rainier.
