June 26, 2022 – It was tough catching up to the T36A’s as they bombed up San Juan Channel, but it was worth it once we finally made it! It was really exciting getting views of the two young calves in the group – one was born last fall and the other was just recently seen for the first time. After leaving the orcas we drifted by Flattop Island and through beautiful New Channel where we saw many harbor seals crashed out taking a nap, bald eagles and a chick standing tall in the nest and black oystercatchers calling.
