July 1, 2022 – We had perfect winds for sailing through the maze of islands. We made it up to New Channel (a favorite place of ours) and to Flattop Island National Wildlife Refuge before coming south to Jones Island to meet a humpback whale known as BCX0915 “Fallen Knight”. It was magical sailing down San Juan Channel watching the whale surface with large exhales blowing in the wind followed by the large tail flukes lifting high in the air. Such a spectacular day!
