July 10, 2022 – Trip highlights include many harbor seals including newborn pups, bald eagles, cormorants on Goose Island, Cattle Pt Lighthouse with two eagles sitting on top, Steller sea lions on Whale Rocks, Mt Baker and Mt Rainier, plus the moonrise. We scanned for minke whales on Salmon Bank, but no luck finding any this evening despite having several there this morning/afternoon. We believe they move to different areas as the tide/currents change from flood to ebb.
