July 13, 2022 – Today we picked up our passengers from Lopez and Orcas Islands. We cut through the Wasp Islands and found many bald eagles on Low Island. A juvenile eagle pulled something red and bloody out of the water that but have been taken by the incoming tide. An adult eagle came in to share the prize.
We sailed north through Spring Pass and caught up with a family of Biggs/Transient orcas known as the T65B’s. They engaged in hunting near the bottom of Presidents Channel. After some great views it was time to continue on our way. A couple passengers were dropped back off at Orcas Island before we returned to Friday Harbor.
