July 28, 2022 – adventure to Haro Strait and into Boundary Pass around Stuart Island while watching our beloved Southern Resident orcas from J pod. 25 animals in all. Other highlights included harbor seals with their pups, bald eagles young and old with nests and chicks, black oystercatchers and pigeon guillemots with lots of vocalizations. Oh, and also some J pod vocals on our hydrophone. We also had beautiful views of Mt Baker and Turn Point Lighthouse.
Note: All photos of Southern Resident orcas are heavily cropped to show detail. We comply with all Federal and State Regulations.
