August 20, 2022 – We had a fun adventure into Canada sailing with a humpback whale which we identified as BCY1022 “Scratchy”. We met the whale in Haro Strait and sailed with it up to the Pender Islands. After some beautiful views we broke off and sailed back to Turn Pt Lighthouse. Wrapped around the north side of Stuart Island, cut through New Channel and crossed to Flattop Island National Wildlife Refuge. Down to Spring Pass and through the Wasp Islands with a sail across the channel back to Friday Harbor.
