September 2, 2022 – We had a beautiful ride after leaving the Orcas Ferry Landing through the islands and Pole Pass to hug the north coast of Orcas Island. We spotted several great blue herons and bald eagles. Crossed Presidents Channel to see a pod of Biggs/Transient orcas known as T49A’s (minus T49A1 and T49A2) as they came down the coast of Waldron Island. After we passed Pt Disney the orcas headed north, and we broke away to check out White Rock and Flattop Island National Wildlife Refuges. Harbor seals were resting hauled out in the sunshine and bald eagles watched as we sailed by. Sailed back down to Jones Island and returned through the islands back to Orcas Ferry Landing to drop off our guests.
