Strong winds on the forecast but we sailed out of Friday Harbor with full main. Following the coastline to point Caution picking up speed wing on wing before a fast beam reach toward Wasp Pass. Clocking 7.8 knots as we approached Low Island then taking the North side point into Coon Island Pass. Winds increased so we dropped the main into to first reef. No harbor seals hauled out today perhaps because of the high tide. Coming about and dropped the main to second reef at Nob Island coming out to Shirt Tail Reef. 2nd reef and a smaller headsail powered into wind towards San Juan Island. Tacking the channel back Shaw and then fell off the wind a little for a fast run straight into Friday Harbor. Some spray over the bow and good speed with some dramatic sky-scapes. Fun sailing today on our first charter of the year.
