July 11, 2023 – We headed south again on our evening sail to Salmon Bank. A great blue heron was hanging out beside some harbor seals who were taking a rest near Deadman Island. Steller sea lions were piled up on Whale Rocks enjoying some vitamin sea. On Salmon Bank we spotted a minke whale zipping about rather quickly. We managed to snap only one picture of a dorsal fin before it disappeared beneath the surface. The sunset was gorgeous this evening.
