July 26, 2023 – Today we visited many of our favorite places including these National Wildlife Refuges: Flattop Island, White Rock, Skipjack Island, and Bare Island. We had a great run down President Channel from Pt Doughty to Spring Pass in the warm evening light illuminating the Pacific Madrone trees. There were so many harbor seals out and about including new pups. The bald eaglets on Flattop Island were perched above their nest flapping their wings. We spotted many harbor porpoise by Pt Doughty and a beautiful great blue heron. We returned to Friday Harbor at sunset.
