April 19, 2024 – We sailed South meeting two families of Biggs/Transient orcas just passed Turn Rock. The Orcas we sailed alongside are known as the T49A’s (minus T49A1 and T49A2 who were not present) along with T19B and his mum T19. South to Cattle Pass passing the cormorant rookery at Goose Island and seeing a mature and juvenile bald eagles roosting on Deadman Island and the hauled out Stellar sea lions on Whale Rocks. We caught up with the whales who followed the contours of Salmon Bank before heading North. A gorgeous Spring sailing day.
