June 17, 2024 – A nice sail around Turn Island State Park spotting harbor seals hauled out and a bald eagle on Turn Rock Channel Marker. Another bald eagle stood watching us enter the narrow channel into Fisherman’s Harbor, Lopez Island. Pretty incredible. Cloudy skies didn’t help for much of a sunset except for a small line between the clouds where the sunshine poked brightly through. A bit chilly, but fun close-hauled northerly sail to enjoy some of the Shaw Island coastline before crossing the channel back into Friday Harbor.
