July 11, 2024 – Today we were fortunate to see Biggs/Transient orcas on both of our half day sails today. The orcas were the T36A’s (minus T36A1’s) and they were traveling with T65A5. We watched as the orcas were southbound in San Juan Channel. We broke away to sail towards Cattle Point and look for some harbor seals and bald eagles by Deadman Island. At Whale Rocks the Steller sea lions were very active with large rafts of sea lions playing in the water. We got one more look at the orcas as we headed back in through Cattle Pass and made our way back to Friday Harbor in the sunset.
