July 13, 2024 – After leaving Friday Harbor we kept our speed up on account of Biggs/Transient orcas in Haro Strait. We took Spieden Channel and crossed over into Canada near Gooch Island to see the T109A2’s. The orcas were in and out of bull kelp forests and circling rocks with harbor seals on them by Cooper Reef and Comet Island. After some amazing views we said bye to the orcas and sailed towards Turn Point Lighthouse and Lovers Leap, Stuart Island. We sailed and drifted through New Channel spotting more harbor seals, bald eagles, belted kingfishers and some Mouflon sheep on Spieden Island.
