August 1, 2024 – Southerly sail to Salmon Bank and onto MacArthur Bank in search of minke whales but we came up empty handed despite a valiant effort. We returned via Iceberg Point and checked out the islands around the Lopez coastline. Wildlife sightings included harbor seals, bald eagles, an eaglet, Steller sea lions, cormorants, gulls with new chicks, and many diving birds.
