August 6, 2024 – After leaving Friday Harbor we sailed across towards Hicks Bay where many harbor seals were hauled out resting and a bald eagle watched in the tree tops. Hugged the Shaw Island coastline up to Pt George and then tacked our way around Yellow Island towards Spring Pass. Continued north and circled Flattop Island spotting more harbor seals and pigeon guillemots. We cut across the bottom of President Channel towards Orcas Island, around McConnell Island, through Nob Island Pass and finished with a close-hauled sail back to the harbor.
