August 9, 2024 – We left the dock in Friday Harbor and sailed behind Brown Island to make our way towards Turn Island where we saw bald eagles and a group of kayakers enjoying the calm waters. As we came up San Juan Channel along the Shaw shoreline, the madrone trees looked stunning in the golden evening light. The sun began to set as we explored the shoreline in Parks Bay, and as we turned around to head back towards Friday Harbor, the sky exploded with color.
