August 13, 2024 – After picking up our passengers at Orcas Island we headed towards Spieden Channel to see some orcas. Biggs/Transient orcas T60’s were found milling by Sentinel Island and again by Danger Shoal. The orcas moved south to Battleship Island where we arrived on scene to see them circle the island. We observed T60C swim backwards indicating they are eating. The orcas passed by several kayakers giving them a very great view! They traveled east and then south down San Juan Channel. We had some amazing views as we sailed parallel tacking our way down the channel.
