Sailing south to see Minke Whale “Dent”

September 1, 2024 – A fun sail south to Salmon Bank where we found a minke whale (nicknamed “Dent”). On the way there we spotted plenty of other wildlife including harbor seals, bald eagles, a great blue heron, cormorants, common murres, and raccoons. We sailed “wing on wing” down San Juan Channel and out into the Haro strait to Salmon bank where we met up with “Dent”, who we are very familiar with. On our way back to San Juan Channel we stopped by whale rocks where we watched plenty of Steller sea lions on the rocks.
