September 4, 2024 – With reports of orcas in the region by Patos Island we kept our speed up hoping they would come in range for our evening sail, but unfortunately they stayed to the north. Instead we came around Waldron Island enjoying the stunning National Wildlife Refuges of Bare Island and Skipjack Island with Mt Baker as a backdrop. After rounding Sandy Pt we passed by White Rock Wildlife Refuge spotting more harbor seals resting on shore in the golden sunset light. Upon our return we were treated to a beautiful sunset.
