September 15, 2024 – After casting off we first started out northbound, but came about to drift down the Shaw coastline. Crossed the channel to take the narrow pass around Turn Island before cutting inside Griffin Bay to travel down the channel in the back eddy. We ventured out to Salmon Bank in search of minke whales before looping back to check out the sea lions at Whale Rocks. Passed by Deadman Island and the snoozing harbor seals before zooming up on the flood current back to Friday Harbor.
